JetMatch Privacy Policy

JetMatch is a peer-to-peer travel coordination platform based in Malta, European Union. We connect travellers who wish to share the cost of private jet travel. We are not an aviation operator, travel agent, or charter broker.

We collect the following personal data when you use JetMatch:

Account data: your name, email address, profile photo URL, and short bio.

Travel intent data: departure city, destination city, travel date, group size, budget range, and any message you include in your trip post.

Contact preference data: your preferred contact method (WhatsApp number or email address), which is only revealed to other users who pay to unlock it or hold a Premium membership.

Payment data: we do not store your card details. All payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We receive only a confirmation of successful payment.

Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interactions with the platform, collected anonymously for the purpose of improving the service.

As an EU-based platform, JetMatch operates in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legal bases for processing your personal data are:

• Contractual necessity: to provide you with the service you signed up for
• Consent: for optional marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time
• Legitimate interests: for platform security, fraud prevention, and service improvement

We use your data solely to operate the JetMatch platform, specifically to display your trip intents to other users, enable other users to request contact with you, process payments for contact unlocks and Premium subscriptions, and send you transactional emails related to your account and activity.

We do not use your data for automated profiling or decision-making.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not automatically share your data with third parties.

Your contact details are only shared with another user when that user explicitly pays to unlock them or holds a Premium membership, and only after you have posted a trip intent making your information available on the platform.

If you click "Get a Quote" and email us directly, we may forward your travel details to a trusted aviation partner to facilitate a quote. This only happens at your explicit request.

Our third-party service providers are: Stripe (payment processing) and Supabase (data storage, hosted within the EU). Both are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only to provide their respective services.

We will only send you marketing or promotional emails if you have explicitly opted in by checking the relevant box at signup. You can withdraw this consent at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or by contacting us at hellojetmatchapp@gmail.com.

Transactional emails (such as account confirmation and payment receipts) do not require opt-in as they are necessary for the service.

Your data is stored on Supabase servers located within the European Union. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and regular security reviews.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we take all reasonable steps to protect your information.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (for example, payment records, which Stripe retains for 7 years per EU financial regulations).

As an EU resident you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure: request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restriction: request that we limit how we use your data
• Right to data portability: request your data in a portable format
• Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Right to withdraw consent: withdraw marketing consent at any time

JetMatch uses only essential cookies necessary for the platform to function (such as keeping you logged in). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email and by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
